I’ll tell anybody for certain that owning your own business is not for the faint of heart. Something outrageously difficult had just occurred. It was jaw-dropping bad news just when we were certain that we had heard all the bad news there was to hear. Tony and I stared at each other. Silent. Breathless. The wretchedness of the confluence of seemingly tragic business events snapped both of us and we cascaded into fits of uncontrolled laughter. Gasping for breath, Tony summarized the situation perfectly:

The thing about falling into an old well is that you might discover You have water after all.

Laugh right out loud. Even if you’re the only one laughing. Write a truly moment down, remember it. Spread the joy. The next time a conversation takes an undesirable turn, share this thing, which made you laugh. At the very least - you'll laugh again.
